Advising

It is extremely important that students talk with an academic advisor as early in matriculation as possible. To determine who your advisor is, or to schedule an appointment with your advisor and other advising information please visit http://www.colorado.edu/ArtsSciences/aacforstudents. Undergraduate Advisors for the Department are: Sarah Matsuda and Rick Seydel.

  • Students can review and track their degree/major requirements through the degree audit system: https://portal.cusys.edu/MyCuInforFedAuthLogin.html
  • Do you want to change your major or add AAH as your major? You can attend a group meeting with Sarah Matsuda or Rick Seydel. Meetings are held: Mondays at 12:00 – 12:30 PM in room 330 A and Fridays at 9:00 – 10:00 AM in room 172.
  • Outcomes Assessment is a procedure used at the end of every semester to evaluate the progress of AAH graduating seniors. B.F.A. studio and art history seniors fill out a student evaluation form evaluating the department and the curriculum, adding comments about their overall experience as undergraduates.
  • In addition, outside experts are invited to judge the B.F.A. exhibition and read solicited papers from art history students. Data collected from this review is published annually by the University in a publication entitled the “Outcomes Assessment Accountability Report”.

Alexei Bogdanov is the Graduate Coordinator. Faculty advisors are assigned by the Department.
